Tom Ellis’ work on body-worn video received much media attention this week due to a new trial which sees their usage spread from police officers to the classroom. Two secondary schools are trialling the use of these cameras which will be switched on when it is deemed necessary rather than recording all of the time. Tom’s original research (along with other ICJS colleagues) based upon the introduction of body worn video cameras in the Isle of Wight can be seen here – https://researchportal.port.ac.uk/portal/en/publications/evaluation-of-the-introduction-of-personal-issue-body-worn-video-cameras-operation-hyperion-on-the-isle-of-wight(aa564df2-ffda-4b72-b0b6-7f9cb823aa77).html
